What is the Alvéole grant? 

The Alvéole subsidy is part of the CEE (Energy Savings Certificate) schemes developed by the Ministry for Ecological and Solidarity Transition. It makes it possible to finance the purchase and installation of bike parking. The objective of this program is to encourage green mobility by providing more security and practicality for cyclists. 

This financial aid therefore makes it possible to increase the number of parking facilities for bicycles. It can be both so-called “rack” bicycle supports,bicycle shelters or closed garages, for example. You can find a wide variety of street furniture for two-wheelers at Vélo Galaxie. 

How much is Alvéole financial aid?

The amount of the Alvéole subsidy covers Present in several = 60% the price excluding VAT appearing on your quote. There is also a ceiling that depends on the type of shelter chosen and the number of parking spaces provided there. Please note: the number of spaces corresponds to the number of bicycles that can be parked in the shelter. 

The limits established are as follows. For a shelter Type secure locker, you will receive a maximum bonus of €2000 excluding tax per pitch. If you opt for free access and covered ties outdoors, you will be capped at €700 excluding tax per pitch. Finally, the ceiling for attachments in an existing bicycle room is €200 excluding tax per location.

Who is eligible for the Alvéole grant?

The Alvéole program allows many organizations to benefit from aid for the purchase of street furniture. These can be both public and private actors. Among the public players, we find communities, social landlords and any other public institution. 

Within the private actors, only the establishments with vocation of public service or teaching can have recourse to this subsidy. This is the case, for example, of private schools or HLM production companies. Visit the Alvéole program website to know the eligibility criteria. 

How to apply for the Alvéole grant? 

First of all, it is important to note that your bicycle parking solution must meet two criteria to benefit from the Alvéole subsidy. First of all, le car park bicycles must be located in a covered place (outdoor shelter or existing indoor bike room) and separated from motorized parking spaces. Then you have to make sure that the solution you choose allows both the wheel and the frame of the bike to be attached, which amounts to a 3-point minimum security. Once these two criteria are met and you meet the eligibility conditions, you can apply for Alvéole financial aid. To do this, you can first take the online test to estimate your premium. This will allow you to define your project in full knowledge of the facts. 

Once your project is defined and you have received an estimate, you can go to the Alvéole program website. You fill in the characteristics of your project: estimate of the amount, material chosen, location, etc. Then, you will be asked to import your quote in order to receive a definitive simulation of the premium within 10 days. 

When will I receive my bonus? 

When your file has been completed and validated on the Alvéole program website, you can initiate the purchase and installation of your bicycle parking solution. Indeed, you will only receive the bonus after having justified the installation of theequipment. For this, you will be asked for several documents that you can import online. 

Then, all you have to do is fill in your bank details in order to receive the payment of the bonus. Within 15 days, you will receive a confirmation message to let you know that your file is complete and that the bonus will be paid to you. If supporting documents are missing, you will receive an additional request, also within 15 days.
