Create 100 secure bicycle parking spaces: this is the objective of Alvéole Plus. At a time when green transport is topical, the French Federation of Bicycle Users (FUB) actually plans to launch a financing program for public companies and communities that are ready to contribute to the deployment of bicycle parking in the fall of 2022.
This aid is part of the Energy Savings Certificates. It supports the development of solutions on the mobility at bike while supporting behavioral changes.
Alvéole plus: what is it?
“Alvéole +” was made possible thanks to the previous Alvéole grant. It aims to subsidize the installation of equipment related to cycling traffic and therefore the development of new secure bicycle parking spaces on public roads.
As specified above, it is a CEE system of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition. It encourages the use of ecological means of transport, in particular the bicycle, which makes it possible to limit the expenditure on polluting fuel as well as the congestion of space.
Who are the beneficiaries of Alvéole Plus financial aid?
Different players in society can benefit from Alvéole Plus financial aid. Among others, mention should be made of: spaces, establishments and public sites such as communities.
There are also schools, educational establishments, train stations, intermodality hubs and private condominiums primarily for residential use. Then, we must not forget the social landlords and the spaces for bicycle delivery people.
What are the eligibility criteria for Alvéole Plus?
Regarding the eligibility criteria for Alvéole Plus, this program can finance up to 40% of a project to installbicycle shelters and secure attachment system if the applicant meets 4 conditions.
One, it has to be covered parking lots placed away from motorized parking lots. Secondly, the devices of security to be preferred are equipment on frame or on front wheel.
In addition, it is also necessary to ensure a short distance to cover on foot between each new bike parking and place of destination. And finally, it is necessary to make access to parking simple, easy and safe for the user.
What about equipment eligible for the Alvéole Plus program?
Among the equipment eligible for the Alvéole Plus program, the following should be listed: attachment supports for existing premises, bicycle shelters, secure individual and/or collective lockers, storage lockers and tool and inflation stations. In the product families concerned, all Galaxie Bike models are eligible.
More specifically, this new financial aid can cover: up to 1200 euros per bike stand for tie brackets in a shelter secure bicycles; up to 650 euros per bike rack for bike racks covered with a shelter and up to 80 euros per bike rack for bike racks in an existing, covered and secure room.
